A litter of puppies that grow up in an environment dominated by humans are bound to be more amicable than puppies reared away from a human setting. Human contact over a consistent period with puppies foster the development of well mannered puppies. Training your puppies to obey your command is a vital part of a dog’s life.
Dogs are social animals by nature hence their ability to interact so well with human beings. The domestic dog is one that has been trained to obey its master’s commands totally. Wild dogs usually move in packs and can be extremely ferocious because they are untamed.
Never punish a dog when it responds to a recall command because if you do, it will assume that each time you call it, it will get a punishment and may fail to respond the next time you call it. If your dog is exhibiting an undesirable behavior, go over to it and punish it. Dogs learn by associating their actions to yours.
Herding dogs are born with the instinct to herd. Herding dogs are usually used in farms and the countryside to herd cattle or sheep. Basically most owners of herding dogs use audible command tools to train their dogs because of the nature of the herding job.
Give your dog plenty of room to respond to your directives when training it. Don’t treat your dog disdainfully when training it or it may not respond accordingly. Bear in mind that training your dog can be quite tasking and try to exercise patience.
Police dogs are also known sometimes as rescue dogs. Police dogs are those that are trained in tracking exercises and are good at sniffing people out of hiding. Police dogs are usually trained and rewarded with a special toy.
A dog is usually trained in line with its instinctive characteristics. A naturally territorial dog is trained to be a guard dog because of its inherent traits of territory protection. A naturally protective and tender dog is trained to be a herd dog in accordance with its traits.
You need to make sure that the environment that you choose to train your dog is conducive. You cannot hope to train your dog in an overcrowded park because the noise and people will distract it from what you are trying to teach it. To effectively train your dog, take it to a relatively quite spot.
